2020 Annual Report on Community Relations: the Techint Group close to its communities

The Report shows how the Techint Group companies renewed their commitment to their local communities by ramping up support during a very difficult year.

The energy transition is happening and is a priority on the company’s work agenda for the next few years. At the end of April, Techint E&C took part in an event hosted in Chile, presenting a virtual exhibition stand, while the company’s Corporate Process Design Manager Martín Scalabrini Ortiz was invited to give a talk on the panel discussing "Green Hydrogen Infrastructure".

Drones, our allies in the field

Drones have replaced GPS in most of the tasks involved in carrying out project topographical surveys because of the level of detail and accuracy of the data they collect. At the Tratayén-Mega pipeline in Argentina, the team has been using drones from the outset of the project, taking the quality of the end product for the customer to a new level.

María Socorro Álvarez has been with Techint E&C for 20 years. Today, as Head of Foreign Trade North America Area, she says that, although the road has not been an easy one, it’s worth it: “When you’re in a place whose values are aligned with yours, you’re in the right place”.

A commitment with the future

Human activities are responsible for most of the increase in CO2 emissions in the atmosphere over the last 150 years. As a result, the Earth is changing faster than at any point in our history.

The Transparent Municipality Project, sponsored by Techint E&C, has increased transparency in public administration by up to 200% in two municipalities in Minas Gerais

Carried out jointly by the Ethos Institute and Agenda Publica, the program has been applied in Patrocinio and Serra do Salitre for the last two years.
