Published 17.12.2024

The event was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, bringing together more than 250 in-person attendees and more than 600 virtual participants. It has established itself as a key platform for the presentation of original and technological initiatives in the sector.

The Innovation Day (IDay) 2024 was not just an exhibition, but a space designed to inspire, establish connections and transform the way challenges in the construction industry are addressed. During two days of intense activity, Techint Engineering and Construction exhibited advanced solutions in cutting-edge areas such as 3D printing, artificial intelligence, robotics and digitalization.

Alejandro Aguirre, Innovation Sr. Manager, emphasized the importance of the event: “These meetings are an engine of change in construction, where we seek to break down barriers and inspire others to adopt new ways of working and thinking”.

Attendees were able to participate in panel discussions, hands-on demonstrations and interactive exhibits. Notable innovations included the use of quadruped robots for construction inspections and processes, as well as heavy equipment simulators and Machine Vision solutions, which offer new opportunities by connecting everyday industry problems with disruptive solutions that are already available in the marketplace.

In addition, the event was attended by a diverse set of suppliers and startups that presented their technological proposals in areas such as IoT, BIM and drones. Among the names present were companies such as Cumulus, Hilti Group, Che3D and Patagonia CNC Machines, which are taking technology to the next level.

To encourage the integration of new generations, students from various universities, such as UTN and UBA, also attended. The young participants expressed their enthusiasm to see how theory translates into practice through digital and automated technologies in the industry.

Innovation Day 2024 was also a space for collaboration between suppliers, such as Grupo Prominente, which presented innovative solutions based on Machine Vision, focused on safety and efficiency.

In order to expand its influence, IDay will become a traveling event, visiting regions such as Mexico, Chile and Brazil. “Innovation is universal, and each region has something unique to contribute,” said Aguirre.

In conclusion, IDay 2024 not only showcased the latest innovations in technology and construction, but also promoted a culture of connection and transformation.

Techint E&C reaffirms its commitment to the transformation of the industry, leading a path towards a more efficient, sustainable and technologically advanced future.
