Techint E&C drives Brazil's energy future from its Offshore Unit

Published 11.7.2025

Infrastructure, efficiency and know-how position the company as an impulsor of growth for the country.

With over 40 years of experience and state-of-the-art infrastructure, Techint Engineering & Construction's Offshore Unit (UOT) in Brazil has established itself as a key player in the country's energy development. Its work on high-impact projects, such as the P-76 platform, recognised in 2023 by Petrobras as the most efficient in the country, positions it as a benchmark in the sector.

A strategic base for large-scale projects

Just 14 km from the port of Paranaguá, the UOT covers 220,000 m² of operational space and has a 300-metre-long quay. This privileged location, combined with state-of-the-art infrastructure and a highly trained technical team, allows it to simultaneously execute multiple construction, assembly and integration projects for offshore platforms and modules with the highest standards of quality and safety.

The P-76 case

One of the unit's most notable achievements is the P-76 platform, an FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) unit developed between 2014 and 2018. Capable of producing 150,000 barrels of oil and 7 million cubic metres of gas per day, it was recognised by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) and Petrobras as the most efficient platform in Brazil in 2023.

“The UOT is a strategic asset that allows us to compete strongly in an increasingly demanding market. We are committed to robust infrastructure, an experienced team and an integrated value proposition for our customers,” says Vilson Rigon, President – Brazil Region.

Commitment to the present and future of offshore

With more than 77 years of presence in Brazil, Techint E&C demonstrates its commitment to the sustainable growth of the offshore sector with the UOT. Its experience, technological innovation and market knowledge prepare it to continue leading the energy challenges ahead.
