Bringing 3D printing closer to Techint E&C projects
The innovative 3D printing project came through Stage 1 of the Prototype Printing at our supplier Hyperion’s facilities in Finland in early 2022 with flying colors. Work is now underway to analyze opportunities for use at projects in Mexico, Chile, and Argentina where the project can be taken to Stage 2 of On-Site Implementation.

Natalia Palma Piñeira: Following a path in mining
Natalia is a civil engineer and currently heads up the Techint E&C Technical Office in Chile. Her life radically changed direction when she moved from designing residential buildings to the mining industry. One of the biggest professional challenges that she had to tackle was running the hydraulic tests for the Los Bronces III project.
Efficiency and safety in the field continues to evolve
Using GNSS systems for excavator guidance is continuously improving. In addition to displaying the design to be executed and exactly where the equipment is positioned on a screen in the operator's cabin (Level 1), the information now gives details of the bucket and boom operations (Level 2) to enable better precision for excavation dimensions in a 3D format.
