This year’s World Health Day has as its theme "Health for All". At Techint Engineering & Construction, we are committed to making this objective a reality as we work to improve the well-being of the communities where we operate.

World Health Day is celebrated every April 7 to commemorate the anniversary of the foundation of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948. The organization, which this year celebrates its 75^th anniversary, has chosen the motto "Health for All" as a way of highlighting the need for actions that guarantee universal access to efficient and effective health systems.

Did you know that health is a basic human right but that 30% of the world's population is unable to access essential health services?

This is why at Techint E&C we are taking this opportunity to reaffirm our pledge to safeguarding people’s health and well-being. For over 70 years, the Group has centered its efforts in this area on providing its employees and their families with medical care, as well as on deploying actions in the communities where it operates.

Over the last three years, the COVID-19 pandemic had an undeniable impact on health care, and Techint E&C was quick to respond, prioritizing the need to contain the emergency and putting the care of people front and center of its agenda.

Compounded by the adverse economic effects of the pandemic, among other factors, the situation at global level underscores the urgent need for all countries to work towards improving health, according to the WHO.

We are playing our part in the different countries and regions where we work, holding vaccination campaigns, organizing Community Health Days, and providing health training, among many other activities.

For instance, in Mexico, on March 12, we held the 13^th edition of our Community Health Days for the population neighboring the Dos Bocas Refinery, involving a total of 50 general medical consultations, 11 physical rehabilitations, 21 dental consultations as well as 10 psychological and 3 legal consultancies.

At Techint E&C, we are committed to contributing to meeting the WHO’s objectives under the slogan of "Health for All", and will continue promoting actions and initiatives to strengthen the health systems of our communities, as we have unwaveringly done throughout our history.
