The Director of the Northern Area has been distinguished by Oil & Gas Magazine for his outstanding performance and contributions as one of the captains of industry in the Mexican energy sector. 

Oil & Gas Magazine is the oil industry’s leading digital magazine in Latin America, and has singled out Alejandro Maluf, the Director of the Northern Area of Techint E&C, as the leader of the year “for his performance and commitment to building energy infrastructure in Mexico.”

Alejandro was chosen following the votes cast by an autonomous editorial committee, which examines and analyzes the activities taking place in the sector before defining the winners according to a number of selection criteria. The committee took into account core values such as organizational commitment, leadership practices, customer focus, human capital, and corporate social responsibility, as well as knowledge and process management.

The awards ceremony was held on November 24 in virtual format. Upon receiving the recognition, Alejandro Maluf said: "This award goes to all those of us who are part of Techint E&C, who dedicate themselves with commitment and professionalism to carrying out the most complex projects, fundamentally vital assets for Mexico’s present and future development."

He referred to the company's uninterrupted presence in the country for almost seventy years, “where we have built over 13,500 kilometers of electrical transmission lines and installed more than 6,300 MW of generation capacity. Today, we are working in five of the seventeen plants under construction at the Dos Bocas Refinery, and we are immensely proud to be part of this vast project that will allow Mexico to become energy self-sufficient.”
