The FPSO built for Petrobras has finally left Pontal do Paraná after a successful sail away operation.

On December 19, 2018, at about 6 am, the floating platform P-76 left the company's Offshore Unit in Pontal do Paraná, following the completion of four years’ shipyard work. Final preparations for the sail away began at dawn the day before, involving a team of skilled professionals who worked around the clock to ensure the FPSO could be safely moved into open waters. On December 22, P-76 arrived at the Santos Basin, to be moored in Santos Bay, off the Brazilian continental shelf.

Throughout the project, Techint has trained more than 1,500 professionals specializing in the oil & gas market. At the peak of the works, over 5 thousand people were working at the same time, with over 70% of labor sourced locally. Since 2014, thanks to the project, over 9,400 direct jobs have been created in a region of some 26,000 inhabitants.

Techint has been present and active in Brazil for over 70 years, and with 40 years' experience in the offshore market, the company is proud of its latest achievement, the P-76 platform, for which it built 15 of the 20 modules in Brazil.

P-76 has a production capacity of 150,000 barrels of oil/day and 7 million cubic meters of natural gas/day.
