A new milestone in SADDN: transfer and installation of the offshore tower

The maneuver marks a key advancement in the Seawater Desalination Supply Project for the Northern District (SADDN), which continues to meet decisive stages in its execution. It involves Tower No. 1 for seawater intake.
As part of the SADDN Project in Chile, an activity was carried out that represents an important milestone: the transfer of Intake Tower No. 1, one of the fundamental structures for seawater capture. These towers serve to lift the resource toward the Sump and subsequently convey it to the desalination plant, where it will be treated for industrial use.
“The key to the success of this work was teamwork, rigorously controlling each stage and working collaboratively,” said Martina Smocovich, Construction Coordinator.
