Published 17.5.2024

Company representatives from various regions have been taking part in different meetings, events and conventions with a view to continuing to learn, share know-how, foster greater networking and reinforce the commitment to a more sustainable world.

The Energy Transition leaders working at Techint Engineering & Construction have been attending a range of different events showcasing new trends in the energy sector for the years ahead. They’re convinced that it’s vital to share technical and market knowledge as broadly as possible, networking and collaborating between teams from different regions, to build synergy and boost the company’s standing in sector.

James Burns, recently appointed Energy Transition Business Development Manager, attended the Baker Hughes Annual Meeting 2024 in Florence, Italy, from January 29 to 31, where he was able to take an up-close look at a hydrogen turbine and exchange experiences with industry experts.

“The congress was really interesting because of the quality of the presentations and talks, as well as the multinational approach taken and the range of technical topics covered, in addition to the chance to network with global energy market leaders. It was also an excellent opportunity to bring together the Energy Transition team, this time with representatives from Italy, Spain, Mexico, Argentina and Chile,” summarized Burns, who’s in charge of developing the initiatives earmarked by the Energy Transition Committee as well as the sales areas in each of the company’s geographic areas.

Andrea Cignoli, Managing Director Engineering Center in Milan said that, “This Annual Meeting is one of the key global events for the exploration of key trends and challenges in the energy sector. The Techint representatives who attended from different regions were able to forge an excellent team spirit during the conference, which is what we need in order to pursue a global Energy Transition agenda.”

Meanwhile, María Ángeles Graciani Cantisan, Process Design Lead Engineer in Seville, attended the Green Hydrogen Congress in Huelva, Spain, from February 7 to 9, a meeting bringing together over 900 executives and 300 companies. “This was an exceptional event that gave us the opportunity to dive deep into the latest trends in the sector alongside top-caliber professionals. It underscored the importance of green hydrogen for economic growth and the crucial role it has to play in achieving energy independence,” pointed out Graciani Cantisan.

Continuous training and global collaboration

Training and global collaboration are the pillars of Techint E&C's Energy Transition agenda, an area under the command of Hernán Milberg, Energy Transition Sr. Manager.

“If we take into account the different regions where our company operates, we can bring together our know-how and relevant credentials, in areas such as liquefied natural gas (LNG), green hydrogen and electrolysis, methanol, biofuels, and e-fuels, as well as carbon capture and green and conventional ammonia,” Burns explained.

Techint E&C’s active involvement in conferences and key gatherings like these forms part of its drive to consolidate the company’s standing as a technical leader in Energy Transition projects and contribute to building a more sustainable world.
