The company was recognized in the Large Construction/Real Estate category during Construction Week 2026, one of the main industry events in Chile, which brought together government authorities, industry leaders, and leading companies.

Techint E&C was awarded the 2026 Sustainable Company Award in Chile by the Chilean Chamber of Construction in the Large Construction/Real Estate category—an award that highlights best business practices and contributions to the development of sustainable standards in the industry.

The award ceremony took place during the traditional Annual Construction Breakfast, which this year coincided with the 75th anniversary of the Chilean Chamber of Construction and gathered national authorities, private sector representatives, and key industry figures.

The event was attended by the President of Chile, José Antonio Kast, along with members of the national cabinet, legislative authorities, and representatives from the country’s main productive and business sectors.

“Receiving this award in Chile has a special meaning, as it is a country where sustainability plays an increasingly important role in the development of the mining industry—a sector we have been part of for more than 75 years, contributing to its growth,” said Claudio Perillo, President Andean Region at Techint Engineering & Construction.

The award recognizes companies that manage their business sustainably in a comprehensive, consistent, and measurable way, with proven impact and industry leadership, based on seven structured pillars: governance, people, occupational health and safety, value chain, environment, community, and productivity.

In this context, Perillo highlighted that sustainability is part of the company’s strategy and the way its projects are developed, with ethics and transparency as the core values guiding every decision across operations. Today, we execute our projects under demanding standards across all activities, which allows us, for example, to recover nearly 43% of the waste generated—well above the industry average.

He also emphasized the social dimension of the company’s sustainability approach: “We believe growth is only sustainable if the communities where we operate also grow. That is why we promote initiatives linked to education and training, creating concrete development opportunities.”

The Sustainable Company Award has been granted since 2003 by the Chilean Chamber of Construction, with the aim of promoting best practices and contributing to the sustainable development of the sector.
