In an interview with Radio ESPM, Thiago de Oliveira emphasized the company's role in major national projects.
Thiago de Oliveira, Business Development Director of Techint Engineering & Construction in Brazil, was interviewed by Radio ESPM on the program Encontros com o Futuro, where he discussed key topics for the future of infrastructure in the country. During the conversation with host Marcos Oliveira and professors Patricia Andrade and Gleriani Ferreira, the company's representative highlighted the growth of the private sector in large projects and the role of the energy transition in the Brazilian economy.
Thiago highlighted that Techint E&C has been active in traditional sectors such as mining, steelmaking, oil & gas, and energy, but the company is also strongly investing in energy transition as a promising front. “The energy transition market is here to stay. We have projects in the engineering study phase, understanding the necessary investments and preparing the groundwork for these projects to materialize,” he stated.
In addition to the strategic vision for the sector, Thiago also addressed the social impact of Techint E&C's projects. He cited a major project in Paraná as an example, where the company trained over 1,500 local workers and made improvements to municipal schools in the region. “Our concern is always to bring a positive aspect to the community. Besides job creation, there’s a significant social impact,” he pointed out.
At the end of the interview, Thiago reaffirmed his optimism about the future of infrastructure in Brazil, despite existing challenges. For him, Techint E&C will continue to be a strategic partner in building large projects, consolidating its position in the sector. “We take great pride in our history and what we want to build for the future. Brazil has challenges, but also many opportunities,” he concluded.
