Techint E&C and the Argentine Center of Engineers: a partnership that strengthens national engineering

Published 20.8.2025

A long-term alliance that promotes the development of the local sector through collaboration and technical exchange.

For years, Techint Engineering & Construction has maintained an active and strategic relationship with the Argentine Center of Engineers CAI, an institution with 130 years of experience dedicated to strengthening the profession and promoting collaboration between public and private actors in the sector.

This alliance reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to promote the country's energy development and infrastructure, recognizing the fundamental role of engineering as an engine of growth and transformation.

Several members of Techint E&C participate in different areas of the CAI, including figures such as Carlos Bacher, Chairman of Techint E&C and 1st Vice President of the CAI, and Gaskon Bilbao, Site Manager at La Rinconada Wind Farm and active member of the CAI's Commission of Engineering Service Providers (CEPSI), which promotes best practices and standards in the industry.

“Engineering is key to Argentina's sustainable development. Participating in the CAI allows us to contribute our experience and strengthen the sector,” says Bilbao.

In addition, Techint E&C contributes its specialized knowledge to the CAI's NGL Commission, created in 2021 to address the technical challenges of shale gas growth in Vaca Muerta, with the aim of optimizing investments and the efficient use of facilities.

This strategic collaboration reinforces Techint E&C's commitment to national engineering and its comprehensive development, promoting innovation, technical training, and strengthening ties between industry, academia, and public agencies.
