Two expatriate employees share their stories, which reflect the value of multiculturalism as a driver of learning, integration and growth.

As part of the Cultural Diversity Month, Techint Engineering & Construction renews its commitment to inclusion and respect for the differences that enrich work environment. On this occasion, two employees share their experiences.

Dinesh Hande: learning and growing in multicultural environments

With more than 14 years at the company, Dinesh Hande, Piping Design Manager, is now settled in Argentina, after having worked in countries such as Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. Of Indian origin, Dinesh believes that growing up in a culturally diverse environment prepared him to integrate with respect and curiosity anywhere in the world.

“Teamwork helps reinforce the sense of belonging to this great family called Techint E&C, with offices in different parts of the world and a large number of people of different nationalities,” says Hande. He emphasises that multiculturalism is not an obstacle, but a source of professional and personal enrichment.

Melissa Ramos Pérez: integrating roots into a new context

From her native Cusco to Iquique, Chile, Melissa Ramos Pérez, Project Quality Leader for the SADDN project, also experienced a journey of transformation. With a 14-year career at Techint E&C, she describes her experience as a period of learning and growth. “It has allowed me to connect with other realities and enrich myself,” she points out.

Melissa does not see the change of environment as a loss of identity, but as an opportunity to integrate her roots into a new culture, living alongside people from different backgrounds and professions.

Enriching differences

These stories show that diversity not only drives individual development, but also strengthens the organisational culture. Techint E&C celebrates this month by recognising those who, with their experience, invite others to build bridges between cultures, promote inclusion and work in a more open, collaborative and humane environment.
