The company inaugurated its new headquarters in Santiago to support its activities in the country, consolidating its growth in the Andean region, where it has operated since 1952.

Chile is a strategic market for mining and energy, sectors that require infrastructure capable of responding to challenging geographical and operating conditions. Techint E&C has more than seven decades of experience in the country and has participated in nearly 80% of the major water pumping systems developed for Chile’s mining industry, through solutions that integrate marine works, desalination plants, aqueducts, pumping stations, material handling and high-voltage electrical infrastructure.

In this context, the company inaugurated a new headquarters in Santiago, featuring collaborative workspaces and digital tools designed to facilitate interaction among the different disciplines involved in its activities. “What may seem like simply a physical space actually represents the renewal of our commitment to Chile, where we have operated since 1952. I hope this space will be a place where new ideas emerge, trusted relationships are strengthened, and the projects that will shape the future of Techint E&C in Chile and the Andean region are built,” said Claudio Perillo, President Andean Region.

Techint E&C’s track record in Chile includes some of the mining industry’s most demanding infrastructure challenges. Among the most recent and largest are the C20+ and SADDN projects, two EPC contracts related to water supply for mining operations in the northern part of the country.

C20+ includes nearly 200 kilometers of pipelines and five pumping stations to transport water from a desalination plant to an operation located at approximately 4,400 meters above sea level. SADDN, meanwhile, comprises a system to transport desalinated water to an elevation of more than 3,000 meters, with more than 160 kilometers of pipelines and three pumping stations.

This experience is complemented by a logistics center and equipment yard in La Negra, Antofagasta, which supports the company’s activities in Chile. The facility enables the management of the supply and traceability of materials and equipment destined for projects in the country.

The company’s track record also includes solutions for mineral transportation and processing, pipelines and industrial facilities, with projects carried out in Chile and other countries across Latin America.

The Santiago headquarters is part of a structure that connects knowledge of the Chilean market with Techint E&C’s engineering and construction capabilities.

This combination is particularly relevant to an industry moving toward projects of increasing scale and complexity, which requires the coordination of multiple disciplines from the early stages through field execution. With a presence in Chile and extensive experience in mining infrastructure, the company continues to strengthen its position across the different markets of the Andean region, particularly by supporting the development of strategic mining projects in the Copper Triangle, comprising Argentina, Peru and Chile—three key markets for the future of global mining.
