CPP reaffirms its leadership with several awards in 2024

The company has firmly positioned itself as a leader in technological innovation, inclusion, sustainability and safety, earning prestigious prizes that underscore the quality of its practices and commitment to progress.

 

In 2024, Construcciones y Prestaciones Petroleras S.A. (CPP) made a lasting impact on industry in Ecuador as a whole, earning a series of prestigious awards that highlight its excellence in key areas. From groundbreaking technological innovations to a strong commitment to environmental stewardship, these accolades reflect the collective efforts of CPP employees to turn every project into a benchmark for quality and leadership.

Below is a review of the achievements that marked the year:

 

RECOGNITION IN HUMAN RESOURCES

Honorable Mention: Safe Company, Free of Violence and Discrimination against Women (Sello Empresa Segura, Libre de Violencia y Discriminación Contra las Mujeres)

The award is the maximum distinction in the area, granted by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Women and Human Rights, the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries, the Ministry of Labor and the National Public Procurement Service (Sercop), with technical assistance provided through the German Development Cooperation’s Prevent Violence Against Women Program (PreVIMujer in Spanish).

The company received this award in Quito for its outstanding achievements in meeting the high standards set for organizational culture, inclusive practices and contribution to the community.

“This recognition affirms that we’re on the right path toward building an inclusive and diverse work environment that positively impacts the lives of our employees and their families,” said Margarita Garzón, Human Resources Manager. She added, “It also confirms our commitment to equality and inclusion, which are fundamental pillars of our corporate DNA.”

 

RECOGNITION IN THE FIELD OF IT

Best Tech Projects 2024 in the Silver category

At the AI Business Summit in Quito, CPP received accolades from Ekos Magazine for its groundbreaking Equipment Management (EQM) project. This innovative system has enhanced operational efficiency and technological resource management.

The event also recognized individuals for excellence in their area of expertise, naming IT Leader Jonathan Llivisaca as one of the Top CIOs of 2024. Llivisaca was honored for his strategic vision in digital transformation and cybersecurity, as well as his success with key projects like EQM and the seamless integration of Microsoft 365 tools.

“This award motivates us to keep innovating, proving that technology can revolutionize processes and deliver strategic value to our organization,” said Llivisaca.

Emerging Leaders – IT Leader Awards Ecuador 2024

Jorge Gallo, a standout member of CPP's IT team, was honored as one of the country's most outstanding emerging leaders. His work in process automation and digitalization projects has set a new standard in field technology management.

 

IT Ahora Awards 2024

CPP’s “Travel Plan and Fatigue Test” application, developed to reduce risks among drivers, received top honors from IT Now Magazine, in collaboration with PwC. Recognized as one of the most impactful and innovative tools in operational safety, the project, led by the IT and Asset Security teams, has achieved remarkable results, cutting fatigue-related incidents by 35%.

“This recognition is a testament to the power of technology to improve safety and efficiency in our operations,” said one of the project leaders.

 

RECOGNITION FOR ACHIEVEMENTS IN HSE

Green Distinction for Environmental Performance

CPP has emerged as a leader in the environmental services category, earning the Green Distinction from Shaya Ecuador. Achieving a perfect score in audits, regulatory compliance and environmental management, the company continues to set the standard for sustainability in the industry.

“This recognition reflects the efforts of the entire team to protect the environment as we move towards more sustainable development,” stated Isabel Intriago, Environmental Specialist.

Ergonomic Workplace Design

CPP's innovative Ergonomics Program claimed first place at the IESS health fair in Orellana, Ecuador. This program, designed to prevent musculoskeletal disorders and enhance workplace well-being, stood out for its cutting-edge practices and employee-focused approach.

“This award reflects years of dedication and collaborative work to prioritize the health and well-being of our employees,” said Valeria Chamorro, from the QHSE team.

 

RECOGNITION FOR WORK IN THE AREA OF COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Iconic Companies Creating a Better World for All

CPP received special recognition at the Women Economic Forum 2024 for its impactful Medical Brigades initiative, which has been providing dental and optometry services to children in vulnerable communities since 2021. This program not only enhances the quality of life for its beneficiaries, but also contributes to Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), 4 (Quality Education), and 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
