Techint Engineering & Construction has received the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification from Chilean Customs, consolidating its position as a secure and reliable partner in the international logistics chain. With this recognition, the company becomes the first engineering and construction company in the world to achieve this standard.
Key recognition for secure logistics in engineering projects
The AEO certification confirms that Techint E&C meets the highest requirements for security, operational traceability, and customs compliance, which are critical elements for managing logistics in large-scale projects.
The AEO program is an international standard that validates the reliability of organizations involved in foreign trade, providing them with more agile and secure customs procedures.
This achievement was made possible thanks to the joint work of the Foreign Trade team and various areas of the company, which implemented controls and processes in accordance with the requirements of Chilean Customs.

Keys to success according to the team
“The idea to obtain certification was born a few years ago, as we saw the constant growth of operations in Chile, which prompted us to seek improvements to streamline our customs processes. Thanks to the support of management and the efforts of all the areas involved at Headquarters, TEPAM, and the Chile Logistics Center, we were able to achieve this,” said Germaín Morales, Traffic & Logistics Manager.
“This is a milestone for the company, as it is the first engineering and construction company in the world to obtain this certification, which gives us a very powerful positive image that sets us apart from our competitors,” added Jorge Bertani, Traffic & Logistics Manager.
A step forward in competitiveness and global standards
The AEO certification strengthens Techint E&C's position in Chile, ensuring greater logistical predictability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in infrastructure and energy projects. This milestone reaffirms the company's commitment to practices aligned with international standards in foreign trade and supply chain security.
