Techint E&C reaches 3 million accident-free hours in operation and maintenance services for Ternium in Brazil

The milestone reflects the company’s commitment to safety and demonstrates its operational capability to deliver value-added solutions to the steel industry.

Techint E&C teams providing operation and maintenance services at Ternium’s steel plant in Santa Cruz (Brazil) have achieved a new safety milestone: 3 million work hours without lost-time accidents.

“This achievement reflects the team’s ongoing commitment to prevention and the safe execution of every activity,” said Maximiliano Santos, Project Manager.

This result highlights the consolidation of a safety culture built on prevention, safe task planning, continuous improvement, and integrated work between Techint E&C, the client, and contractors.

In this context, Gilson Carneiro, Human Resources Manager, highlighted: “Being able to share this celebration with all teams is a way of recognizing the collective effort and daily commitment to a safe operation, shared by Techint E&C, the client, and everyone involved in the project’s day-to-day activities.”

From the HSE area, Joel Dos Santos, Project HSE Manager, stated: “This milestone demonstrates a strong preventive culture, where health and safety are always our top priority.”
