Roberto Rocca Scholarships: A Growing Tradition in General Pacheco

Published 17.11.2025

In General Pacheco, Techint E&C held a new edition of the Roberto Rocca Scholarships, an initiative that inspires new generations and strengthens ties with the community through education.

Techint Engineering & Construction recognized 30 high school students for their dedication and academic performance, reaffirming once again the Techint Group’s commitment to education and the sustainable development of the communities where it operates.

The new edition of the Roberto Rocca Scholarships brought together employees, students, and families on October 23 at the General Pacheco Equipment Yard. Young people from six educational institutions, four local and two from other communities, were honored for their effort, commitment to learning, and drive for self-improvement.

“This year, the Hermanos Agustín y Enrique Rocca Foundation will award 1,100 high school scholarships across eight communities and seven provinces. Thirty of them correspond to Pacheco, a community we have embraced since 1970, when our Machine Park was founded to manage the heavy machinery that enables us to execute projects around the world,” said Fernando Pérez, Human Resources Sr. Manager.

During the ceremony, Luján Nölter, Diversity & Inclusion Manager, along with Fernando Pérez and Javier Fernández Rancaño, Global Equipment Director, led the presentation of diplomas and medals in an atmosphere of pride and shared celebration.

Inspiring new generations

One of the most emotional moments was the testimony of Juliana Plevich and Axel González Magallán, former scholarship recipients who are now part of the corporate Materials Management team.

Juliana, who has been a scholarship recipient since 2021, highlighted the program’s impact on her personal and professional growth:

“Each year, I learned something new. I understood that challenges may generate fear, but they also make us grow. The company showed me that dreams come true when you work hard.”

Axel, for his part, shared his pride in going from student to company employee:

“When I was informed that I had been awarded the scholarship, I felt enormous joy. I never imagined that some time later I would be working at Techint E&C. Today I feel like part of something much bigger.”

A commitment that transcends generations

The scholarships were awarded to students from the technical schools Nº1 General Manuel Savio (El Talar), Nº2 Ricardo Rojas (Pacheco), Nº3 Unión Industrial Argentina (Benavídez), and Colegio María de Guadalupe (Pacheco). Children of employees studying at Liceo Nº12 Fray Mamerto Esquiú (Buenos Aires City), School Nº12, and Instituto Técnico La Piedad (Bahía Blanca) were also recognized.

The event concluded with the presentation of distinctions and recognition of the students’ efforts, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and shared pride among families, teachers, and employees.

With nearly five decades of history, the Roberto Rocca Scholarship Program promotes access to quality education and talent development in the communities where the Techint Group operates. In General Pacheco, since 2021, this initiative has become a tradition that strengthens the bond with the community and reinforces the company’s commitment to the future.
